To mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the hostilities of the First World War, and in recognition of the immense sacrifice of over 1.1 million British and Empire Service Men who lost their lives so that future generations could live theirs, Shenstone Parish Council have purchased 3 commemorative benches, crafted by renowned designer David Ogilvy, one for each Ward.

The Recreation Ground is proud to have been chosen as the ideal location for Little Aston's bench. It was installed on Friday 24th August, 2018  It will be enjoyed by the park’s many users and it will stand as a reminder to all age groups…Lest we Forget.
